Even after only a few hundred years, which in the grand scheme of time is less than a second, the gods Seyd and Asher realized that eternity was a very, very long time. But for those hundred years, and more than a thousand years, they chose to be content with each other's company. However, eventually, even Asher who was very laid back and what one may even call lazy began to become restless.
"Seyd?" Asher flicked his long, forked tongue in Seyd's ear. The two had been lounging in one of Asher's many rooms, all of which he had stuffed with pillows of multiple size and shape. Their two tails, for both had taken on the form of a naga, were intertwined and until that moment Asher's head had found refuge on Seyd's chest.
"Mmm... Asher quit it." Mumbled Seyd, half-heartedly pushing Asher's head away. It was seldom that he was as tired as Asher, and to ruin such a moment was of the highest sin to him.
"No." Asher persisted in nudging and flicking his tongue against his companion's face. "I want to talk."
"But you're the lazy one." Seyd succeeded in pushing Asher's head away and returning it to it's former position across his chest, crossing his arms over Asher's neck so he couldn't move. "You shouldn't want to talk."
"But you're the...the... the not lazy one! You should want to talk." Asher retorted, turning his head in a vain attempt to poke Seyd with one of the three horns that adorned his head. However, both Asher's copper scales and Seyd's silver were both very strong and Asher would never try to do anything to actually hurt Seyd. Thus, for the moment he could only think of ways to slip from his lover's arms.
"Fine," Seyd rolled his eyes, "What on earth is it that you want to talk about that's more important than your precious nap time?"
Asher turned his head and slipped out of Seyd's grasp, leaning back on his elbows, brown eyes focusing beyond Seyd. "Have you ever though about maybe having children?"
Seyd's silver eyes widened, in both surprise and curiosity. "Asher, for one no, and for two in case you haven't noticed we're both males." His eyes narrowed, "And NO if you swallow a baby and spit it back up it does not make it yours!"
Asher rolled his eyes and yawned, his mouth stretching out much farther than Seyd's could. The copper-scaled naga was voracious and on occasions when he and Seyd argued he would often swallow him whole and refuse to spit him out until Seyd admitted him correct. "I wasn't going to say that!"
"Really?"
"Really!" Asher pouted.
"Whatever you say." Seyd rested his head on Asher's tail, closing his eyes. "However, we ARE both men."
"I know that! If you had breasts I think I would have noticed!" Asher ran his hand through Seyd's silver hair, "But..." His voice lowered to a whisper, "I could make us a baby."
"What?" Seyd put his hand on Asher's.
"I may glorify myself as 'the blonde god of death', but I'm the god of life and creation too."
"And equality."
"Yes, that too. But life and creation are more important right now. If you wanted to, because I sure do, I could make us a baby."
"A baby god?"
"No..." Asher shook his head, "I don't know about you but I'd rather have a baby girl."
"A baby goddess, then?"
"Yes. A baby goddess."
"Koreina! Come on, come to Daddy-Seyd!" Seyd egged his daughter on to crawl from Asher to him.
She obliged, and made her way over. "Dada Say!!"
"There we go!" Seyd scooped her up off the ground, "Great job, sweetie!"
Asher came over, "Yeah! You're the best, hun!"
As the god of creation, Asher had used the extent of his powers to create a child for himself and Seyd. However, that ordeal had seemed nothing compared to raising their daughter.
After he died, while Asher was still trying to find him, Seyd almost always took a wife and became a doctor for whatever town he had landed in. He'd had a lot of experience with children, though he had none of his own. Even so, compared to all of the children he'd seen, Koreina was certainly the most trouble.
But he loved her anyway. Both of them loved her.
